This course will give participants a working understanding of the laws affecting the employer-employee relationship and how they impact day-to-day operations.

Identify major aspects of the HR job function
Describe important provisions of Michigan and federal employment laws
Define basic record keeping and compliance requirements
Apply HR knowledge to manage day-to-day situations
