The purpose of this training is to give an overview of ethical approaches, with an in-depth exploration of virtue-based ethics.
CEUs: .30 (3.0 Clock Hrs)

Objectives: This ethics training will equip you to understand how three different ethical mindsets shape ethical policies and behaviors, gain a higher understanding of ethics beyond mere compliance, promote ethical behavior on a character/virtue-based model, and communicate a four-fold model of happiness for better ethical decision making.
Learning Outcomes:
• The three most common ethical approaches
• How four levels of happiness affect all ethical decision-making
• The historic development and essential elements of virtue-based ethics
• The nature of the four cardinal virtues
• The interplay between rationality and passion
• The three-fold requirements of justice
• Courage and confidence

This program has been submitted for 3 general credits hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) as well as 3 recertification credit hours (PDC) toward SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). The use of these seals is not an endorsement by HRCI or SHRM for the quality of the program. It means that this program has met the HRCI's and SHRM's criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit.
