Objectives: This course provides a practical overview of what it means to demonstrate professionalism in a modern workplace. Learners will explore the core principles of professional conduct, including the importance of appearance, behavior, and attitude. The course also covers appropriate use of different communication channels, with guidance on how to maintain professionalism in both in-person and digital interactions. Participants will learn how to recognize unprofessional behaviors and apply strategies to address and correct them. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped with the tools to present themselves as polished, reliable, and respectful professionals in any work setting.

Define workplace professionalism and why it is valued
Describe professional behavior and suggest standards for appearance, actions, and attitude in a business environment

Describe common unprofessional work behaviors and how to correct them

This program has been submitted for 3 business credits hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) as well as 3 recertification credit hours (PDC) toward SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
